ETSI (GSM09.10version7.1.0Release1998) 7 ETSITS100605V7.1.0(1999-12) 3 Interworking in the MSC, Transparent case 3.1 General WhentheMSCreceivesaforwardmessagefromtheBSS(possiblyforwardedtransparentlyfromtheMS),itwillinvoke thedesiredMAPserviceandestablishacrossreferencebetweentheBSSAPprocedureandtheMAPprocedureinorder toreturntheresultoftheoperationtotheBSS(whichmayforwardittransparentlytotheMS.Thecrossreferenceis deletedwhentheMSCterminatestheMAPprocedure. PositiveornegativeresultsoftheMAPprocedurearereturnedintheappropriateBSSAPmessage.
