Apalakis June M. McTaggart 1909-1994 1925-1994 Former Selectman Former Selectman Nicholas E. Apalakis | (Photo courtesy Edward Apalakis) Died February 9, 1994 Nicholas Apalakis was a graduate of the Boston University School of Management in 1931 and the United States Army Air Force Officers School in 1942. He was a trustee of Boston University. He was a former Stoneham Selectmen, Assistant Town Moderator, Trustee of the Stoneham Public Library, and former chairman of the Stoneham Parks Commission. He was the host of the popular Continental Cablevision show "Nick Apalakis Presents”. He was Co-Chairman of the Stoneham 250th Anniversary Committee. Mr. Apalakis was founder of the Stoneham Home Front Fund during World War I. June M. (Shea) McTaggart (Photo courtesy James F. McTaggart) Died February 14, 1994 Mrs. McTaggart earned a Bachelor's Degree from Northeastern University, a Bachelor's Degree from Lowell Teachers College, and a Master's Degree in Education form Boston College. Mrs. McTaggart was a former Stoneham Selectman, a member of the Stoneham High and Northeast Vocational School Building Committees, one of the founders of the Stoneham Council on Aging. She was the current Stoneham member on the Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational School Committee. She was a former teacher at Robin Hood School in Stoneham and a special needs teacher at Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational School.
