Theywill regard, in the execution ofit, the different ages, tastes, circumstances,andcapacitiesofreaders. TheCommittee present the following fiftyvolumes,chieflystandard worksofpermanentinterestandvalue,whichhavealreadyreceivedex- tensivelythepublic approbation in thiscountryand in Europe,as the commencementoftheseries,tobeextended from time to time,until it shall comprise a well-selected and comprehensive Library of Useful Knowledge,worthyofaplaceineveryschoolroomofourcountry.
