Twenty-two Avery Finn finally musters the courage to move to California from her perfect life in East Sussex. She was tired of her perfect life and wanted something more than just working as a secretary for a great company in London. Avery moves to California to meet her best friend Mandy who is very much different from her and tries to help her get the position of secretary at the company she works at. 

While Avery is in California she truly finds out Mandy did for fun while she was out of the job. She was a DOM to a lot of men. Mandy introduces Avery to a place in California where she meets her boss, Twenty-nine-year-old Caspian Woods who she has no idea is her boss. 

Avery was very much intrigued by the idea of being someone’s SUB after much research and education from Mandy. Avery still skeptical decides to give a go at it when next she and Mandy visits the club but is shocked that the man she was extremely attracted to was her boss. Their relationship as DOM and SUB eventually begins which later turns to something more.
