We understand that a $878,271 (586) state match is required by March 22, 2020, Rather than seekan appropriation during the upcoming state budget. tnese funds will be provides by departmental ost savings in the 2017-2048 state fiscal year. We acknowledge thatthe funds must be used by March 22, 2023, Voting Equipment Replacement and Upgrades In Tennessee, county election commissons decide which voting system :0use in thei jureetion Counties may purchase any sytem that has been approved for use inthe state by the Sate Election Commision and Coordinator of lectins, We have used and will continue touse existing HAVA dolars to provide subgrants to asset counties inte purchate of approved voting systems These new funds wl supptement tat orgo'ng effort ‘We anticipate continuing to distbute funds based on the number of precincts and early voring sites in each county ane have budgeted 54,312,000 to acdlress naeds inthis catagory. Voting Registration Systems and Management The Division of Elections oversees the statenide voter registration database, which s managed by fone system aciministratr.
