I didn't need my sisters running to my rescue when dad died.
I've gotten pretty good at looking out for myself since they all left me behind in Curver.
That is, until I'm cornered by wild animals in the forest.
And then along comes my saviour, Curver Mountain Ranger Riley.
As much as he wants to give me a hard time, I can tell there's something he wants more.
But the last thing I need right now is a man.
A badass man with a uniform and a rifle.
