Drug-free Workplace It is the policy of the College to maintain a drug-free workplace. Accord- ingly, all employees are prohibited from using, distributing, manufacturing or possessingcontrolledsubstancesofanykind onthe premisesofthe College. Eachemployeemust,asaconditionofemployment,complywiththispolicy and notify his or her immediate superiors of any conviction of a drug charge which results in a violation of the College's drug-free workplace policy. Such notificationshall be madeno laterthanfive (5) daysaftersuchconviction. The Collegewillnotifyanyappropriatefederalagencyorofficefromwhich itreceivesgrants, loans oranyotherfinancialsupportwithinten (10) daysfrom notification ofanemployee'sdrugconviction. Withinthirty (30) days ofreceivingthenotice referred to in paragraphtwo above,theCollegewilldisciplineanyemployeewhoisconvictedofadrugcharge in violation of this policy. Disciplinary action may include suspension from or terminationofemploymentoranyotherremedydeemedappropriatebytheCol- lege. Among other things, the College may require the convicted employee to participate in a drug abuse assistance or rehabilitation program approved for such purposes by appropriate federal, state or local agencies, as a condition for continued employment.
