Oliver Armitstead Savills Oliver has over seven years' experience in the hotel development, operations and consultancy arenas and he has completed assignments in numerous countries across EMEA, Asia, North America and South America. Oliver joined Savills in 2015 from Belmond UK Ltd, formerly Orient-Express, where he spent four years working in the Development team responsible for global growth and repositioning of their hotel and leisure businesses. Surinder Arora Arora Group Surinder, 56, is the Founder and Chief Executive of The Arora Group, which manages seven luxury hotels with over 2,750 bedrooms, across Heathrow and Gatwick airports, Englefield Green near Windsor and Manchester city centre. Burba BHN Jim Burba is the co-founder and president of Burba Hotel Network LLC (BHN), the worldwide leader in developing and producing conferences for the hotel and tourism investment community. Sarah Duignan STR Global Ltd Sarah departed Irish shores in May 2005 having spent seven years in Hotel operations. She joined the HotelBenchmark team at Deloitte in London as a Business Development Executive and as the team re-structured came to manage a number of key international clients in the Account Management team. STR Global was formed in March 2008 following the merger of the HotelBenchmark team with The Bench and Smith Travel Research. Sarah now heads up the Account Management team as Director of Account Management, she regularly attends and presents at Hotel Group and Industry events. Cedric Durand HotelInvest Cedric Durand, 44, graduated from the European Business School (Paris), began his career in the finance sector in 1994 for Generali Group. He joined Accor Group in 1999. Within 15 years, he was in charge of finance for several regions. He was appointed in 2004, CFO for Accor Services in France and developed new partnerships. Art-Invest disposes of a range of investment vehicles; with its dedicated hotel fund Peter acquired eleven hotels in the last two years with a total volume of EUR 300 Mio. including the Sofitel Alter Wall Hamburg and the Le Méridien Parkhotel Frankfurt. With a total volume of roughly EUR 500 Mio., the German Spezialfonds is expected to further grow its hotel real estate portfolio in Germany and Western Europe. Peter’s background includes hotel operational experience as well as investment banking and strategy consulting. Before joining Art-Invest Peter was project manager with E&P Real Estate GmbH & Co. KG where he oversaw project developments and transactions within a 1.5 billion hotel portfolio comprising of approx. 50 hotels. Peter Ebertz studied economic sciences and holds a PHD and Executive MBA from the University of Münster. Frank Fiskers Scandic Hotels Frank Fiskers, 53 and a Danish national, is President & CEO of Scandic Hotels, one of Europe´s largest hotel operators. The company currently has almost 230 hotels in operation and development in seven countries and close to 12,000 employees. Frank became CEO of Scandic in October 2013. For two years Frank was President & CEO of Coop/KF, Sweden. Prior to that he was a partner at Azure Property Group, London. In April 2007 Frank became CEO of Scandic Hotels as part of a private equity buy-out, a position he held until September 2010. For six years Frank was with Hilton as Vice President based in Frankfurt, Stockholm, London and Johannesburg. He was also for a number of years with Rezidor in various senior operational positions - latest as Vice President, Nordic Countries. Frank received his formal education in Copenhagen and has attended various educational programs at Cornell University, London Business School, and IMD. Peter Gowers Travelodge Peter Gowers is the Chief Executive of Travelodge. Travelodge is the UK’s largest independent hotelier, with a portfolio of more than 500 hotels across the UK, Ireland and Spain. He graduated from Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Podgorica. Back in nineties he started his professional career in Development Secretariat of Montenegro, where he coordinated a team of young experts that initiated the IT development in Montenegro based on new ICT platforms. Following this he was appointed as the Assistant Secretary in the Secretariat and in 1999 he was appointed as the Director of Post Office of Montenegro. In 2001 he was appointed as the Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro for Economic Policy and Economic Development and he served total of three terms of office. During this period, he served as the Mayor of Bar for 18 months. After the parliamentary elections in 2009 he entered the new Government as the Minister of Spatial Development and Environmental Protection and he served in the office until the end of 2010. From February 2011 until December 2012, Mr. Gvozdenovic acted as the Political Director of Democratic Party of Socialists of Montenegro. In addition to this, during his professional career Mr. Gvozdenovic acted as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Electric Power Company of Montenegro and Board Member of Post Office of Montenegro. He was a Member of the Parliament of Montenegro in several terms. He is the member of the Democratic Party of Socialist’s Presidency. In addition, he is the member of several associations and theme societies. His professional affinities are related to intensifying economic and democratic development of Montenegro, and to assisting in the process of accelerating European and Euro-Atlantic integrations of Montenegro.
