HowdoyoulikeourbeautifulnewlawnatthefrontofthePrecinctbuilding?Ihope youloveit!AndthepaversthathelpShermputuptheflagevery morningwithout making a trail orgetting his feet muddy. The"sweepinglawn'*lendsitselfwell tothelovelyseasonalplantings,atthefront ofthebuilding,which are sowell maintainedby theRyeDriftwoodGardenClub. Thank you so much. The sod and pavers were installed by Seaside Landscaping (Shawn Crapo). This workwasdoneprobono.WethankShawnverymuchforall hishardwork,during aheatwave,rightbeforetheFourthofJulyholiday.Tokeepthelawnlookinggreen and beautiful, we must also thank Richard Clark of Abenaqui Landscape & Irrigationforinstallingourirrigationsystemandhisinstallationwasalsodonepro bono. In both cases, we paid only for the materials. We thank you both tremen- dously. Now all we need for the Fourth ofJuly is a band. As to street lights, we are replacing old fixtures and also replacing underground wiring, in conduit, as needed. We are very pleased with ournew electrician, Jim Holway. — Moregoodnews theUnitedStatesPostalServicehasrenewedtheirleaseinRye Beach, effective July 1. 2007. The new lease will be foranother five years. Historical buildings must bekept upand we have finished the replacement ofthe soffits.Nomoresquirrelscomingintothebuilding andchewingthe windowsills and "dying" on the floor. Finally, we want tothank all ofthe board members who volunteertheirtime and expertise. Rememberthat we are avolunteercommunity.
