From the four week build up to the big day, with any excuse to meet friends for a pre-Crimbo cocktail to the choosing of the tree and shopping for personal gifts for my friends and family, the capital in December is truly a magnificent place to be. And Richmond at Christmas? It’s so beautifully traditional that I’d be happy not to step outside its warm environs for the whole of the festive season.
