One Selectmen for the term ofthree years. Treasurer to serve for a term ofone year Tax Collector to serve for a term ofone year. Library Trustee for term ofthree years. Trustee ofTrust Funds to serve for a term ofthree years. Two members ofthe Budget Committee to serve for terms ofthree years. Two members ofthe Planning Board to serve for terms ofthree years. Two members ofthe Road Committee to serve for terms ofthree years. Auditor to serve for a term ofone year. ARTICLETWO: TovotebyNon-Partisanballotforthefollowingamendments to the Zoning Ordinance as proposed by the Planning Board. Amendment #1 would eliminate the Crescent Lake Residential District and create a new separate Crescent Lake District. This change would re- flect the difference in character between the Crescent Lake area and the SouthAcworthVillage andAcworthVillageResidentialDistrictswhilepro- viding increased protection for the water quality and other resources of the Lake. This amendment would affect the permitted uses and bound aries ofthe District, and aheight limit and several water quality provi- sions would be added. Second dwellings on lots would no longerbe permit ted in the affected area. For property currently in the Residential District, the minimum lot size, frontage and setbacks would remain the same. For property which this amendment would change from the Rural District to the Crescent Lake District, this amendment represents a reduction in di- mensional requirements. Amendment #2 would provide more flexible zoning requirements in the Rural District to encourage land conservation by enablinglot size averag- ing. Reduced lot sizes, frontage and setbacks would be coupled with a per- manent conservation restriction on a portion ofthe property. ARTICLETHREE: To vote by Non-Partisan ballotfor the following Building Code as proposed by the Planning Board. Proposed Building Construction Ordinance would apply to the construction, alteration and/oradditionsto allbuildingsand structuresandincorporatesthe BOCANational Plumbingcode,the 1996 National Electrical Cede,the N.F.P.A. Life Safety Code 101, along with several additional provisions. These would apply to both new construction and renovations to existingbuildings. ARTICLE FOUR: To see if the Town will accept the minutes of the Town Meeting ofMarch 10, 1998. ARTICLE FIVE: To see ifthe Town will empower the Selectmen to serve as pound keepers, measurers ofwood and fence viewers. ARTICLE SIX: To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen to borrow money in anticipation oftaxes. ARTICLE SEVEN: To see iftheTown will vote to authorize the Selectmen to purchae a new highway truck for $40,000.00 (Forty Thousand Dollars) with $20,000.00 (Twenty Thousand Dollars) to come from the General Fund Sur- plus and $20,000.00 (TwentyThousand Dollars) to comefrom general taxation in 1999. ARTICLE EIGHT: To see ifthe Town will raise and appropriate the sum of $500.00 to help support the work of The Community Kitchen, Inc. in Keene, N.H. BY PETITION. ARTICLE NINE: To see ifthe Town will vote to raise such sums ofmoney as may be necessar>' to defray town charges for the ensuingyear and make appro- priations ofthe same as recommendedin thebudgetby the BudgetCommittee. ARTICLETEN: To see iftheTown will vote accordingto RSA231-Ato change Hyde Road from Five Points to Jerry Pfohl's barn from a Class VI road to a Class A trail for hiking, horseback riding, bicycling, skiing, snowshoeing and where appropriate, snowmobiling. BY PETITION. ARTICLE ELEVEN: To protect the surface and groundwater resources of the Town of Acworth, the stockpiling and landspreading of Class B sewage sludge and industrial paper mill sludge are not permitted in the Town of Acworth. This by-law shall not apply to septage generated within the Town of Acworth. BY PETITION. ARTICLETWELVE: Shall weadopt theprovisionsoftheRSA466:30-a which make it unlawful for any dog to run at large, except when accompanied by the owner or custodian, and when used for hunting, herding, supervised competi- tion and exhibition or training for such.
