Description:Hamish MacNaught, the well-loved owner of The Ivy, a popular Scottish pub, is dying, and wants to get to know the child he'd never known before, his daughter, Ivy. Ivy doesn't exactly have love for the father that abandoned her and her mother, and who she'd never head of until she was informed that he wanted to give her half of his pub, the other half of it going to Stuart, a man who he'd known as a son for about twenty years.
It didn't take Ivy or Stuart very long to start butting heads on every issue… Until Ivy began to come around to Stuart's way of thinking as he father appeared less and less like the man she WANTED to hate. And, in turn, Stuart, a man who spanked her on her second day in Scotland, also became less hateable… even likable.
Her life had been spent fluttering from job to job, and finally Ivy thinks she found a place that she might actually try to be happy in… But unfortunately there's a shadow from her father's past that doesn't want her to have this new life, and certainly not a life with Stuart. Can she not only accept this new life, but will she be willing to fight for it?
