The journal's focus is not exclusively on peacekeeping; we also publish articles on a variety of subjects, including but not limited to the following: Peacekeeping, both historical and current, in all of its aspects, such as: ° Military issues in peacekeeping (land, aerial and maritime aspects, as well as tactical, operational and strategic analyses); Peacekeeping theory and national policies; The role and future of the United Nations; Humanitarian relief and refugee issues in peacekeeping; The civilian police dimension; The role of the media as a stimulus for intervention; and National and international diplomatic issues and initiatives. Regional security issues, including: ° Conflict and flashpoint es: ; a te ° Regional peace, security, conflict resolution and peacekeeping initiatives; and ° Arms control, proliferation and disarmament concerns. Articles should be approximately 900 - 1,800 words (exclusive of academic apparatus), in Microsoft Word format (4.0 -7.0) and available either on diskette or E-mail, although hard copy will also be accepted. Endnotes are preferred to footnotes as per The Chicago Manual of Style, although the endnotes should be added manually (the endnote function of the word processing programme should not be used).
