The feast of the Nativity of Christ is celebrated Dec. 25. Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, At Christmas, we gaze anew upon the infant Jesus in the manger. With the shepherds we worship and adore Him who reveals to us God’s great humility and love. God became man in the child wrapped in swaddling clothes lying in a manger. In the Nativity of Our Lord, we encounter the maternal love of Mary, the fidelity of Joseph, and the joy of the shepherds. With them, let us adore Jesus, the Son of God and our Redeemer, and bear witness in our lives to His humility and love! I am remembering all the faithful of the diocese in my Masses and prayers during the holy season of Christmas. May God bless all of you with the amazement and joy of the shepherds at Christmas!
