All articles are peer-reviewed by qualified, indepen¬ dent reviewers. Manuscripts must fully state and justify the reasons for proposing nova. These may include detailed comparisons with similar taxa, short keys to similar taxa, illustrations to similar taxa, and mechanical nomenclature reasons, among others. Manuscripts whose primary purpose is other than establishment of new nomenclature, which usually are longer manuscripts, cannot be accepted for review. These include reviews, revisions, monographs, or other papers that incidentally include nova. Manuscripts must follow the guidelines in the Checklist for Authors. The Checklist may be downloaded from the Garden’s web site, www.mbgpress.info, or authors may contact the man¬ aging editor to request a copy.
