At the tender age of 12, Clay committed his life to boxing. His skill and dedication saw him rise through the ranks of amateur boxing, become a national level amateur champion, and gain an Olympic gold medal—all while he was still a teenager. HE ALWAYS HAD SUCH A HUGE PERSONALITY. – Rudolph Clay, later known as Rahaman Ali Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. was born in Louisville General Hospital in Kentucky on January 17, 1942.
