Then you can learn how to put the thread through the needle, and how to make a knot at the end of the thread. Next come two basic stitches, running stitch and backstitch. After that, you will be able to use these stitches to make some of the beautiful projects in the book. With just a little practice, the results will be perfect! Getting started At the beginning of each project is a list of everything you will need to make it. Next, you make a knot in the end of the thread. This is the very first step to sewing!
