The text of ISO Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following: a) Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’. b) Comma ( ,) has been used as a decimal marker while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point ( .) as the decimal marker. The other part of this Indian Standard is as under : . IS 15417 ( Part 2 ) :2003 ‘Textiles machinery and accessories — Reeds — Part 2: Plastic bound metal reeds — Dimensions and designation’ In this adopted standard reference appears to the following International Standard for which Indian Standard also exists. The corresponding Indian Standard which is to be substituted in its place, is listed below along with its degree of equivalence for the edition indicated. However, that International Standard cross-referred in this adopted ISO Standard, which has subsequently been revised, position in respect of that latest ISO Standard has been given: International Standard Corresponding Indian Standard Degree of Equivalence ISO 9473:1988 Textile machinery IS 8566 : 1977 Specification for Not equivalent and accessories — Strip steel for steel wire for reeds but related dents of reeds The Sectional Committee responsible for the preparation of this standard will review the provisions of ISO 9473 and will decide if these are acceptable for use in conjunction with the standard.
