He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine, president‐elect of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis and Conference Coordinator and past president (two terms) of the Canadian Federation of Clinical Hypnosis – Alberta Society. He has been practicing and teaching hypnosis, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychotherapy and clinical psychol- ogy for over 30 years, and he is the 2005 recipient of the Best Research Paper from Division 30 of the American Psychological Association.
