PLEASE READ Center for Caregiver Training is a San Francisco Bay Area, not-for- profit organization which provides training to family caregivers. Family caregivers are not bound by any constraints in the care they provide their loved ones. Hence, some of this material may reflect the role of the family member as opposed to that of a paid assistant. Please share this information with family members when you feel it is appro- priate. This handout packet is not meant to overrule or take the place of any poli- cies or procedures of The Senior’s Choice and it’s members. It is given to employers with the understanding that their employees will be bound by their job descriptions and the employment policies and procedures of their agency. This book is meant only to provide a perspective on the care of aging adults in their own homes and to serve as impetus for defining policy and improving the service you provide.
