The11thInternationalConferenceonHealthInformationScience(HIS2022)was heldinBiarritz,France,duringOctober28–30,2022.FoundedinApril2012astheInter- nationalConferenceonHealthInformationScienceandTheirApplications,theconfer- encecontinuestogrowtoincludeaneverbroaderscopeofactivities.Themaingoalof theseeventsistoprovideinternationalscientificforumsforresearcherstoexchangenew ideasinanumberoffieldsthatinteractin-depththroughdiscussionswiththeirpeersfrom aroundtheworld.Thescopeoftheconferenceincludes(1)medical/health/biomedicine informationresources,suchaspatientmedicalrecords,devicesandequipment,software, andtoolstocapture,store,retrieve,process,analyze,andoptimizetheuseofinformation inthehealthdomain;(2)datamanagement,datamining,andknowledgediscovery,all ofwhichplayacrucialroleindecision-making,managementofpublichealth,exami- nationofstandards,privacyandsecurityissues;(3)computervisualizationandartificial intelligenceforcomputer-aideddiagnosis;and(4)developmentofnewarchitecturesand applicationsforhealthinformationsystems. Theconferencesolicitedandgatheredtechnicalresearchsubmissionsrelatedtoall aspectsoftheconferencescope.Allthesubmittedpaperswerepeer-reviewedinasingle- blindmannerbyatleastthreeinternationalexpertsdrawnfromtheProgramCommittee. Aftertherigorouspeer-reviewprocess,atotalof29papersamongthe54submissions wereselectedonthebasisoforiginality,significance,andclarityandwereacceptedfor publication in the proceedings. The authors were from Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, China,Iran,Iraq,Italy,theNetherlands,Switzerland,theUK,theUSA,andVietnam. Thehighqualityoftheprogram–guaranteedbythepresenceofanunparallelednumber ofinternationallyrecognizedtopexperts–isreflectedinthecontentoftheproceedings.
