I’d like to share my thoughts on why I identify with this sometimes puzzling, sometimes infuriating, yet overall satisfying denomination. This reflection will be primarily a left-brained, cerebral approach—for that is largely the way I operate. My feelings, my emotional reaction, will have to wait for another time. So here is who I am, spiritually and ecclesiastically. First, I am a Christian. I believe in Jesus, the God-man, and men like Peter Waldo, Menno Simons, Hans Hut, Hans Denk, accept the essentials of Biblical faith.
