Warnes, Assistant Director Student Services Arrangements for Commencement Dr. Norman Stanley, Assistant Director Institutional Services To the 1983 Agricultural Technical Institute Graduates: Human capital is the current nomenclature for those peo ple in America who are becoming educated and trained to carry forward tasks of this great country. Recently we are beginning to see clear indications that the human capital resource for agriculture in its' broad sense, may become a seriously "scarce resource" in the near future. I call upon you as new graduates to join your fellow pro fessionals in communicating. "What is agriculture" and "What are the opportunities in agriculture." Through your brief experiences at ATI you should now be more aware of the great diversity of agriculture in service and support. We must tell others about the variety of these opportunities in landscaping, golf courses, supermarkets, and agribusiness operations, just to touch a few. We need to share with others the quality and honor of the profession working with people, plants and animals. It's truly a great profession, a great way of life - and you are there. Good Luck and best wishes - and by the way - we want to hear from you as Alumni. Sincerely, Dan D.
