About the Cover This beautiful art, created by Leo and Diane Dillon, is from the front cover of the picture book To Every Thing There Is a Season, published by The Blue Sky Press, an imprint of Scholastic, Inc. The Dillons have used multiple media to illustrate the timeless Bible passage that begins "To every thing there is a season, and time to every purpose under the heaven; A time to be born, and a time to die . .. A time to weep, and a time to laugh ... A time to get, and a time to lose. ..." Drawing on artistic techniques from cultures around the world, these award- winning artists celebrate on many levels the diversity of our culture as they illustrate the passage of our lives. We chose this image for the cover of Books for You not only because it reflects the diversity of the books within this volume and the readers who we hope will enjoy it, but also because as we move from one millennium to the next, as we watch our high school students move from grade to grade, as we ourselves progress through life, we each must learn that, indeed, to everything there is a season. We are most grateful to Leo and Diane Dillon and Blue Sky Press/Scholastic, Inc. for allowing us to reprint this art on our cover.
