PhD. F. Details of Professional experience I started my career in the University of Ife as a Graduate Assistant in 1981 and rose through the ranks to become a Professor in 1998. During this period, I have made significant contributions to the development and teaching of courses in Entomology, Ecology and Invertebrate Zoology in the Department of Zoology. As a member of the Faculty Board of examiners, I have been involved in the assessment of written examinations and students research projects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I have supervised more than 50 undergraduate projects in the broad field of general ecology of forest soil arthropods since 1987. I have also supervised three postgraduate research projects, one of which is a PhD. Currently I am supervising four PhD, one MSc and three undergraduate students in my department. I was involved in collaborative research on soil fauna and litter decomposition with Dr. G. Tian of the Soil Fertility Laboratory in the International Institute for Tropical Agriculture (IITA) from 1990 to 2000. During this period, we published several research findings and I was sponsored to the United States once to present part of our findings at an International Conference. In 1995, I was a member of the Man and Biosphere research team that investigated the biodiversity of the flora and fauna of Omo Biosphere Reserve in Ogun State. I have attended and presented papers in many conferences both locally and Internationally, many of which have been listed in Section G. On the average, I attend at least two local conferences in a year and international conferences virtually ever year since 1992. I have worked as a researcher with experts in my field in The Netherlands, Italy, Brazil and Germany at various times during my career. I have also been involved in many multidisciplinary environmental consultancy services for government agencies and oil companies since 1992. In these studies, many of which I led, I handled the invertebrate studies aspects and contributed to the write-ups in environmental impact of human activities on the invertebrate fauna. In October 2010, I hosted the National Conference of my Professional Society (ESN) in WUSTO from October 4 to 7, 2010. 5 6 I was the convener of the Annual National Conference of Wesley University from 2011 - 2014. G. Membership Of Professional Bodies. (i) Entomological Society of Nigeria (ESN) -since 1978. Chairman of Ife branch - 1992 to 1997.
