Northern Canada, the not too distant future, it's December. A massive blizzard has blanketed most of North American in layers of deep white snow, disrupting communication, travel, and deliveries. In the oil town of Fort McMurray, Alberta power is disrupted and all cell phone communication ceases. The RCMP declares a state of emergency and begins evacuating the city.
