SusanneKaaeisatrainedpharmacistandworkedforsixyearsasacommunitypharmacistbefore joiningacademia. Herspecialresearchinterestsincludepharmacypractice,i.e.,theimplementation ofcognitiveservicesingeneralandinrelationtoat-the-countercommunication. In addition, effective inter-professional communication with other health care professionals is central for positive health outcomes of patient treatments. Communication is a complex area, dealing not only with the transmission of content, but also intrapersonal relationships, social processes, etc. Through research in pharmacy practice communicationwecanhelpdevelopskills,tools,andprocessestomakepatientencountersandother encountersasgoodaspossible. Thisbookprovidesaninsightintotheresearchbeingconductedin thefieldrightnowandthushelpstohighlightspecificareasinpharmacycommunicationthatneed attentioninordertomovefurther.
