A long weekend getaway with my Cocker Spaniel, Cocky, should be simple, right?

I have one long weekend to myself and my best friend Luna (make that ex-best friend, now) tells me that I should go to Emerald Bay in Lake Tahoe.

Maybe neither of us could have known that it was a narrow, winding road—or what would happen once I reached it.

It's been two years since I've had a vacation, and no, I'm not a workaholic.

I'm just a hardworking attorney trying to make my way up to the ranks of partner at one of the top, male-dominated law firms in Sacramento. 

I'm nothing, if not focused, resilient, determined—and I don't plan to let anything stop me. 

Not even a super hot, sexy, ex-SEAL doctor who likes to save damsels in distress—and make no mistake—I needed saving.

alpha-male, you'll do what I say or else doctor together in a cabin for a long weekend—
