Copies ofCertificates and Proclamations. CITY OF ST. AUGUSTINE MEMORANDUM TO: John Regan, City Manager DATE: April 21, 2015 RE: Hearing Impaired Smoke Alarms Our department currently has a program established to install hearing impaired smoke alarms in the homes of all deaf citizens in our city. These smoke alarms are much more expensive than the standard residential alarms and many residents cannot afford them. Due to the high cost, we have had to request financial support from outside agencies in order to obtain the funds necessary to purchase these alarms. The SI. Augustine Lions Club graciously partnered with our department last year and would like to continue supporting our program. Lions Club President, Wayne Mancil, will present a check in the amount of$1,000.00 to Fire Marshal Bob Growick to aid us in the purchase of these invaluable hearing impaired smoke alarms. If this meets with your approval, we are requesting that you place this presentation on the agenda for the City Commission meeting ofApril 27, 2015. Please call me ifyou have any questions or concerns. xc: Alison Ratkovic, City Clerk
