He is the editor of numerous books, including Global Money, Capital Restructuring, and the Changing Patterns of Labour (Cheltenham: Edward Elgar, 1999), Rereading Marx: New Perspectives after the Critical Edition (new York: Palgrave Macmillan, 2009; with Roberto Fineschi), and Rosa Luxemburg and the Critique of Political Economy (new York: Routledge, 2009). Sergio Bologna, historian and social scientist, was one of the chief exponents of italian workerism during the 1960s and 1970s. in 1973, he founded Primo Maggio, a journal for militant historians. during the 1980s, he lectured at the University of Bremen, Germany. He is co-author, with Cesare Bermani and Brunello Mantelli, of Proletarier der ‘Achse’: Sozialgeschichte der italienischen Fremdarbeit in NS-Deutschland 1937 bis 1943 (Berlin: Akademie Verlag, 1997). His most recent book is Vita da freelance: i lavoratori della conoscenza e il loro futuro (Milan: Feltrinelli, 2011; with dario Banfi). C. George Caffentzis teaches philosophy at the University of Southern Maine and is a member of the Midnight notes Collective. He is the author of Clipped Coins, Abused Words, and Civil Government: John Locke’s Philosophy of Money (Brooklyn: Autonomedia, 1989), Exciting the Industry of Mankind: George Berkeley’s Philosophy of Money (Boston and dordrecht: Kluwer Academic Publishers, 2000), and In Letters of Blood and Fire: Work, Machines, and Value in the Bad Infinity of Capitalism (Oakland: PM Press, 2012). Silvia Federici teaches political philosophy at Hofstra University in the USA. She is a co-founder of the Committee for Academic Freedom in Africa and of the Radical Philosophy Association’s campaign against the death-penalty. She is the author, with Leopoldina Fortunati, of Il grande Calibano: storia del corpo sociale ribelle nella prima fase del capitale (Milan: FrancoAngeli, 1984) and Revolution at Point Zero: Housework, Reproduction, and Feminist Struggle (Oakland: PM Press, 2012). She is also one of the editors of Enduring Western Civilization: The Construction of the Concept of Western Civilization and Its ‘Others’ (Westport: Praeger, 1995).
