AP-BPM 2015 was the third edition of the conference for researchers and practitioners in the field of business process management (BPM) in the Asia-Pacific region. It aims to provide a high-quality forum for researchers and practitioners to exchange research findings and ideas on BPM technologies and practices that are highlyrelevanttotheAsia-Pacificregion.Atthesametime,theconferencecommittee welcomes submissions on relevant topics from all over the world. A key objective of the conference is to build a bridge between actual industrial requirements and leading-edge research outcomes in the Asia-Pacific region. The theme of AP-BPM 2015 was “Business Processes Meet Big Data.” As the third edition in this conference series, AP-BPM 2015 attracted quite a few submissions: 37 (qualified) submissions. These submissions reported on up-to-date researchfindingsofscholarsfromtencountries(Australia,China,Denmark,Indonesia, Italy, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Taiwan, Turkey, and USA). After each submis- sion was reviewed by at least three Program Committee members, 12 full papers and twoshortpaperswereacceptedforpublicationinthisvolumeofconferenceproceedings (i.e.,32.4%acceptancerateforfullpapersand5.4%forshortpapers).These14papers cover various topics that can be categorized under five main research focusesin BPM, including “Algorithms for Process Analysis” (two papers), “Process Mining” (three papers), “Resources Allocation Strategies” (two papers), “Advancement in Workow Technologies” (four papers), and “Emerging Topics in BPM” (three papers). WewouldliketothanktheProgramCommitteemembersfortheirthoroughreviews and discussions of thesubmitted papers.
