nOPKINTON ANNUAL TOWN REPORT 1993 A NOTE ABOUT THE COVER The Contoocook railroad station is pictured in this view of the center of the Village taken early in the twentieth century by local photographer Leown Kelley. Rail service through Contoocook continued, with many interruptions, into the 1950s and the station was still owned by the railroad, who shared it with Dodd Insurance Company until 1956. Now owned by David Packard, the building stands empty. Photo courtesy of the New Hampshire Antiquarian Society.
