Obrium1o,1glcorneBATESis oneof themost problematicalspeciesamong the well clarified faunaof theJapanesecerambycidbeetles. Although thenameofthis obriinehasbeenadditionally recordedbyseveralJapaneseauthors,all thosereports werebasedonmisidentificationofObriumJaponlcumPlc. True0.1ongicornehasnot yetbeenrediscoveredfromJapananditsadjacentareassinceBATES'originaldescrip- tionwaspublished. RecentlyIwasabletoreexaminethetypeseriesof0.1onglcornepreservedinthe NaturalHistory Museum,London. Inthispaper, Iamgoingtodealwithsometaxo- nomicalproblemsofthespecies.Theabbreviationsusedintheredescriptionarethe sameasthoseexplainedinpreviouspapersofmine. Althoughthetwospeciesaredistinctincolorationandstructure,theyhavesuchcom- moncharactersastheunico1oredandimmaculateelytra,andlarge,stronglyapproxi- mateeyes. ItismostprobablethatBATESconsideredtheseriesofthethreespecimens asrepresentinginfraspecificvariationofthesamespecies,andthetwospecimensbe- 430 TatsuvaNIIsAT0 longingtoS.lightiasthedarkformof0.1ongicorne. IwouldliketodesignatethepalefemalespecimencollectedatNagasakiasthe 1ectotypeof0.1ongicorne.Theothertwospecimensshouldbeexcludedfromthetype seriesof0.1onglcorne,sincetheywereidentifiedwithStenhomaluslighti. Lectotype: 0brium1ongicorneBATES:“JapanG.Lewis1910-320”“Nagasaki” , “0brium1ongicorneBat”“Nag 54346(undersideofmountingcard).” Accordingtothepresent reexamination, it isobviousthat 0.1ongicorneshould belong to thegenusStenhomalus. It istruethat thelectotypeof thisspecies looks likeamember of the Obriumdue toshort, broa uniformlyyellowishbody.Apart fromsuchanexternal appearance, 0. 1ongicornenot only has posteriorly wellex- tendedmetepisternum, aweak longitudinal costabetween themetepisternumand metepimeron,anddenserecumbentpubescenceonthepronotum,butlacksdeeplongi- tudinalconcavitybetweenthemetepisternumandmetepimeron,allofwhichareaut- apomorphiesofthegenusStenhomalusinthetribeObriini.Therefore, 0.1ongicorne shouldbetransferred from ObriumtoStenhomalus. ItispossiblethatS.1ongicorniscomb nov mayhavebeende- scribedonaforeignspecimen fromsomewhereinEastAsia,butwecannotconfirm thematteruntiladditionalspecimensareobtained. Inmypresentopinion,S.1ongicornlsisprobablyclosesttoS.unicolorNllsAToet HuA,whichisquiterecentlydescribedfromEastChinaasarelativeofS.11ghti.How- ever,theChinesespeciesisclearlyseparablefromS.1ongicornlsbyitslongandrather slenderbody,moreapproximateeyes,strongconstrictionjustbeforeandbehindlateral tuberclesofthepronotum,andlongerelytra. 要 約 新里達也:ヒゲナガアメイロカミキリの分類学的再検討. - ヒケナガアメイロカミキリ 0brium1ongicorneBATESの基準標本系列 (ロンドン自然史博物館所蔵) を詳細に検討し, 本論 文において必要な分類学的処置を行った. 本種の基準標本系列には2種が含まれている. 1個体はBATES(1873)の原記載によく適合する 真のヒゲナガアメイロカミキリであり,ほかの2個体はトワダムモンメダカカミキリstenh0,na_ 1uslightiGREssITTであった. BATESは,記載作成に際して扱った3個体の標本のうち, 真の本種 を除く2個体を, 同一種の黒化個体とみなしたようである. 今回, 原記載によく適合する長崎 産の1個体を後基準標本に指定した. 一方, このヒゲナガアメイロカミキリが,実はメダカカミキリ属Stenhomalusに所属すべき ものであることが判明した. メダカカミキリ属は,他のアメイロカミキリ族の諸属から,長く 発達した後胸前側板や後胸前側板・後側板間の縦隆起の存在,前胸背板に密生する軟毛などに よって区別されるが, ヒゲナガアメイロカミキリの後基準標本は,それらの特徴をすべて備え, ムナミゾアメイロカミキリ属0briumの固有形質である後胸前側板・後側板間の深い縦溝を欠 いている. なお,和名は普及性を配慮し,旧来どおりの名称を残した. 本種にもっとも類緑が近いのは,中国東部から比較的最近に発見されたste,,homalus,,njc01o, NuSATOetHuAだと考えられる. この種は, トヮダムモンメダカカミキリとも近縁な種であるが, ヒゲナガアメイロカミキリとは,細長い体やより近接する複眼,前胸背板両側の中央隆起前後 の強いくびれ, より長い翅鞘などの特徴から容易に区別することができる. また,後基準標本 に付されたラベルによれば,本種の産地は「Nagasaki 長(山奇)」となっているが,日本国内はお ろか周辺地域からも, この種に該当するアメイロカミキリ族の種は,現在までのところ再発見 されていない.
