Farber Hebrew Day School – Yeshivat Akiva 53rd Anniversary Celebration Annual Dinner Honoring Henry (Darnell) McGill June 12, 2017 | ז עשת ןויס ח י " " Greetings! It is a basic tenant in Judaism to give recognition to a person for the good that they have bestowed upon you. Farber Hebrew Day School - Yeshivat Akiva has benefitted from Darnell McGill’s service to our school over these past 31 years. Everyone who comes into contact with Darnell is moved by his dedication to the school, its staff, its students and parents, and with his modesty. Darnell receives everyone with saver panim yafot – a full smile. He usually anticipates the needs of people and has the job done before the person even asks. When someone does ask for a favor, he happily obliges. Darnell can always be relied upon. Ben Zoma teaches: ד תובא תוירבה תא דבכמה ?דבוכמ והזיא Who is an honorable person? – The one who honors humanity. ) ) Darnell is the living embodiment of this teaching. So many of us have been taught by Darnell not from preaching but by example. It is our honor this year to honor Darnell McGill at our annual dinner. May Darnell and we be blessed with many more years of his service at our school. With Torah Blessings, Rabbi Scot A. Berman Leah Ann Kleinfeldt Head of School President, Board of Directors We join the entire Farber Hebrew Day School community in congratulating, thanking and honoring Henry (Darnell) McGill for 31 years of dedicated service and contributions to our school Thank you, Darnell!
