Throughout our years we have been striving for indi¬ vidualism, and finally we are able to reach it. Our involvement in activi¬ ties offered at school have shown our dedication to this journey and our outlook on the future. It has been a wonderful journey. The memories that remain will never be forgotten. These very unforgettable memories will affect our lives, and the people that we become. Through all of the struggles and obstacles, we have stood strong, and are now ready to face the real world. We will take with us all that we have learned, and all that we have experienced. We will not forget all the friends we have made throughout these four unforgettable years, because they have shaped who we are today. On the day of graduation, we will walk across the field, vaguely remembering the first time we set foot on it as freshmen. Now as seniors, we are filled with the bittersweet realization that this will be our last time. We have learned and grown with each other, thus making it that much harder for us to say goodbye. These high school memories: priceless. Intrude n o i t a c i d e D k Every student that steps foot into Mr. White's chemistry class is prepared to be amazed. o Since Mr. White has such an enthusiastic way of teaching he has inspired many students to want to learn. o Mr. White was born in Vermont, and then moved to Manchester, Connecticut, where he b attended Manchester High School. Upon graduating high school, Mr. White was accepted r into Central Connecticut State University to major in mathematics. Rather than starting out a teaching, he began a career working in a hospital. He changed career fields and student e taught at South Windsor High School. He enjoyed the school and the people, therefore he continued to teach here. Mr. White has been teaching at South Windsor High School for 27 Y years. Mr. White has received many nicknames over the course of his teaching career. Some of 4 the names include Double White, Uncle Whitey, and Senor Blanco. Mr. White does not mind any of his names, and in fact thoroughly enjoys them. A hobby Mr. White enjoys is stamp 0 collecting. His favorites are chemistry stamps that he places around his room to brighten it 0 up. He also likes spending quality time with his pet cat, Cleo. 2 Mr. White went to San Diego, California last year where he trained for the new LINK CREW program. This program involves upperclassmen helping freshmen adapt to the high school e environment. It gives the freshmen a chance to feel comfortable about their next four years t here. i If you ever get the opportunity to experience one of Mr. White's amazing classes, take h advantage of it. Your high school career will not be complete without a day or even a high W (four) from the infamous Mr. White. His reasoning for only having four fingers on one hand is very sketchy. He has many stories: "it was cut off while I was at the bar..."or "I was in a horrible fist fight..." No one ever believes any of them, but if you do want to hear one, go ask him yourself. . r Because of all the efforts Mr. White has displayed toward the student body and his M commitment to South Windsor High School, it is only fitting we should do something to honor him. This was an easy decision to dedicate this year's Centurion yearbook to Mr. David White, because spending a day with Mr. White: priceless. 2 Dedication Above: Mr. White and his gorgeous wife spending quality Above: Mr. White with his niece showing his friendly side. time together.
