Sass. Dr. Sass is a strong force in integrating the diverse segments of the University, both in the courses he teaches and the activities in which he engages. Dr. Sass teaches both Liberal Arts and Ceramic courses. A man of extremely high ethics and principles, he is a positive contributor to the organizations in which he participates. Despite his numerous activities on campus and his absorption in his work, Dr. Sass manages to devote considerable time and interest to the well-being of his students. His concern for them transcends the narrow limits of the classroom. His friendly and sound advice, and clever wit will be remembered by all of us. 5 Moving Up Day, affectionately known as MUD, is that day in May when Freshmen become Sophomores, Sopho mores become Juniors, etc. There is an assembly in the morning at which various prizes and honors are bestowed as the seniors squirm in caps and gowns. In the evening is a carnival, followed by a pleasant pushball game. 6
