From AudioFileAlthough this book could stand alone as an inspiring and compelling story, it's actually the last in the series of 14 books on the lives of the Baxter family. Kingsbury creates depth and individuality for each of the many characters in the story. Narrator Sandra Burr accomplishes the amazing feat of personalizing each character through varying intonation. Her entirely believable characters cover a wide range of ages and emotions. Burr flawlessly transitions from one voice to another--whether that of a young boy teasing his little brother, a mom in labor, or a senior citizen speaking words of love to his fianc'e. This is a beautiful story and a well-delivered audiobook. N.L. © AudioFile 2008, Portland, Maine
