Christine Harper is a forty year old financial adviser who lost her partner Jackie of 15 years due to a boating accident three years ago. Christine is unable to look at another woman because in her mind that would be cheating on Jackie. Then Laura Lerner walks into her life. Laura is now a client and neighbor due to the recent death of her father. Laura a 30 year old former chef has to decide whether to sell her father's house and go back to New York or stay at the Jersey Shore. Laura's attraction to Christine is growing even though Christine can't offer anything, but friendship.
