Saint Paul Parish TheCatholic Community of Princeton THE RESPONSIBILITY OF OUR FAITH Today is a day simply to ponder the fact that in baptism we were claimed by God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The first reading from Deuteronomy prompts us to fix in our hearts the truth that God is the Lord of both heaven and earth and there is no other god. Saint Paul reminds us that, because we received the Spirit of adoption in baptism, we are now children of God. In the Gospel Jesus charges us with the responsibility to make other disciples. These realities make today's solemnity a day of praise, adoration, and responsibility. It is a fitting day to thank God for the absolutely free gift of faith that we were given in baptism. It is also a day to ask God for strength to take on the responsibility of sharing that faith with others. Copyright (c) J. S. Paluch Co., Inc. Joe On this solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, the focus is not so much on Rev. Msgr. Joseph N. For God has sought us out [email protected] and saved us through Jesus Christ, and given us a Spirit of adop(cid:415)on, so (609) 524-0505 that we might call on God’s name. God’s self‐revela(cid:415)on as Father, Son Rev. (609) 924-1743 The origins of the celebra(cid:415)on of Trinity Sunday go all the way back to Rev. To stress the doctrine of the Trinity, the Fathers of the [email protected] Church composed prayers and hymns that were recited on Sundays as part of the Divine (609) 524-0516 Office, the official prayer of the Church. One God in rela(cid:415)onships. (609) 216-7576 Reflec(cid:415)ng on the Trinity invites us who God created in his image and likeness, to be mindful Mr. Jim Knipper that we too are created to be in rela(cid:415)onship.
